Born out of the strong demand for parts, sales and service for all the Johnson / Evinrude river-runners in the rural interior of Alaska, Tanana Adventure Sports is located right on the Tanana River 8 miles north of Delta Junction and 90 miles south of Fairbanks. Starting a joint venture in June of 1998 with the Tanana Trading Post, (a Tesoro gas station) we built a two-story building with 1,800 square feet of showroom and 2,400 square feet of shop space, and stocked it with Evinrude and Johnson outboards, and quality welded Sea-Ark boats and King boat trailers.

It didn’t take us long to realize that boating in the Alaskan Interior is not the year round venture it is off the coast; in fact, you’d have to say it takes a back seat to the kind of winter riding a majority of the population enjoy. So in the fall of '98 we signed on with Bombardier Recreational Products and took on the complete line of Ski-Doo snowmobiles, outdoor winter clothing, accessories and, of course, parts. After trying a couple different lines of accompanying trailers, and doing some extensive research, we started carrying the Floe line to compliment sales, and have found them to be both affordable and reliable.

In April of 2000, we took on Honda ATV's, and realized how dependable the Honda engines are. With the kind of terrain our customers go through to get that trophy bull, you’d better believe we appreciate all the reliability we can get.

In April of 2001, we added the full line of Honda Power Equipment to our showroom, and have been pleased to find Honda generators and waterpumps performing for our customers with that same reliability. And now that we're carrying Honda motorcycles as well, we can finally offer you one-stop shopping.

We have a fully certified technical service department for every product we sell and some pretty fast turn-around time for all general tune-ups, warranty issues, or anything else you might want to bring our way.
